Who I Am
I started freelancing in 2013: full-stack PHP work on Elance while finishing my degree at Polytechnic University of Timisoara, alongside internships at SysAIDS and Webstage.
The ZCE exam
In 2019 I sat the Zend Certified Engineer exam. A hard test on a language you’ve been paid to write for six years tells you fast what you actually know, and what you’d quietly been getting away with.
The stack has widened a lot since then (Laravel, Node.js, React Native, Java 17, Android native, Symfony, Shopware, a bit of ML), but what I reach for first hasn’t really changed. Show me how the data moves and what the API promises, and I can usually work out the rest. I’m a back-end specialist with front-end foundations solid enough to work the vanilla way, in plain HTML, CSS and JS, when a framework would only get in the way. And I’d rather understand the business need a feature actually solves than build it on faith.
8+ years at Nu-login
The work I’m proudest of is 8+ years at Nu-login, building cloud platforms and mobile apps for their clients from the ground up, carrying them forward as the products grew, and sticking around long enough to fix the things I got wrong the first time.
I also founded EcDev Labs Inc for B2B consulting and turned teaching into a second trade: I’m a licensed trainer (2023) and a certified coaching specialist (2024), both issued by the Ministry of Education, Romania. I currently teach the full-stack curriculum at Telecom Academy Romania. Teaching makes me explain what I actually know, and shipping client work keeps the teaching current.

I run EcDev Labs Inc as a consultancy for cloud applications, mobile products, and AI integrations: scoped and built by the same engineer end-to-end. On larger builds I bring in vetted collaborators and lead them, which keeps one person answerable for what ships. Corporate workshops run through the company too, and so does the coaching practice, for engineers working through a career change or a step up.

Building and running the platforms their clients run on. The cloud back-ends I stood up from scratch (2017–2021) on DigitalOcean: Laravel, PHP 8, Node.js, MySQL, Nginx, RESTful APIs. As the products grew I grew with them: React Native with TypeScript, Java 17 Android native modules, Gradle, iOS integration, Vue.js admin surfaces, Docker, Firebase. These days Claude Code, Cursor and Copilot are part of the daily flow.

Technical Trainer
Delivering the Full-Stack Development curriculum: Node.js, MySQL, Firebase, Git, React, vanilla JS, HTML5/CSS3. The format is live-coding throughout. I build on screen, students build along with me, and the class ends with a working app. They are mostly career-changers and junior developers taking their first serious step into the profession.
